Discover Athletics

Physical Education and Athletics teach students they can go far beyond what they thought they could do.

This is transferable to the classroom, because they have learned to persevere through challenge and difficulty.

Albany Academy is justly renowned for its athletic teams, including the number of sports teams that students can select from, the teams' success, and their fierce competitiveness on the field, court, or mat.

But winning isn’t everything here, or the only thing. Athletics and physical education are very important components of leadership and character development.

One of our mottos is, "Everyone plays," which means that throughout the Lower School every student is involved in Physical Education, and as competitive teams begin to form in the Middle & Upper Schools, students are still required to be on at least two teams and continue physical training.
